Apple pie is one of our all-time favorites and a must, especially in autumn. We have been on the hunt for the best apple pie recipes and this recipe from my 7th grade cookbook is so far one of the best ones in terms of taste and low effort. We have noticed that usually, the simplest recipes are the best ones. You will probably have most of the ingredients already at home.

Ingredients

2,5 dl flour

1,5 tsp baking soda

1 dl sugar

1 tsp vanilla sugar

2 dl kefir/yoghurt

1 dl oil

1 egg

On top:

3-4 apples

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Heat the oven to 200°C. Butter a pie mold (about 26 cm diameter). Mix the dry ingredients together, add kefir, oil and the egg and mix rapidly until even. Cut the apples into thin slices and stack on top. Sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar on top. Bake in the middle of the oven for 25-30 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream or vanilla sauce.
